Lake Issyk-Kul

Issyk Kul is a pearl of Kyrgyzstan,the second largest alpine and saline lake in the world. Although rivers and snow melt feed the lake, the hot springs and lakebed geothermal activity create a unique microclimate that ensures the lake never freezes, even in the coldest Central Asian winters.
